Our latest radio production series is called Getting It Said.
A series of radio broadcasts devoted to reclaiming control of your life one step at a time, finding true happiness, enriching your life and the lives of others around you, and making your life count for something.
With all the talk about jump starting the economy, the answer is simple. First, lower the price of gas to $1.50 a gallon. This would create an immediate surge in miles driven. And when people drive more, they spend more, resulting in a positive surge in retail sales. The end result would be a major boost in tax revenues for cash strapped cities and states. It's a mental thing. Driving creates a desire to buy. Mostly because we're exposed to more stores when we drive a lot. Unfortunately, our system works backwards. Oil companies raise the price of gas and force people into a phase of restricted driving habits.
Next, reward taxpayers with a one-time cash shock. A bonus check for years of hard work and paying taxes. If you paid taxes this year, you should get a cash shock. The amount should be high enough to encourage high ticket purchasing.
Consumers need to concentrate on paying off credit cards and high interest loans. GO ALL CASH ASAP. If you go all cash on your purchases, you'll get the upper hand on life. Credit is an anchor that drags you into the depths of despair.
